Ernest D. Chipman, M.D.
(1875-1946)





Ernest D. Chipman received his M.D. from Yale University in 1897.  He practiced in Waterbury, Connecticut for a few years, then settled in San Francisco in 1905 and became an instructor in dermatology at Cooper Medical College, and a dermatologist at the San Francisco Poly Clinic.  Later, he became a dermatologist to the German Hospital and to Mary's Help Hospital and consulting dermatologist to Mt. Zion Hospital.  He was a corresponding member of the Societe Francaise de Dermatologe et Syphilograhie.
