The 3rd PSRC meeting was held at the Syntex Auditorium on May 23, 1975.

During the early 70s, Dr. Makoto Seiji, a leader of the global movement in Japan quite frequently visited UC San Francisco, to exchange the ideas which may help Japanese Dermatology for further advancement.


 

Makato Seiji, on the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco in 1975. He was instrumental in encouraging young dermatologists and dermatologic scientists to make contact with the PSRC. In 1975, Makato organized a group of dermatologists to attend the meeting in San Francisco.
 
 


Japanese members attended were Drs. Masakatsu Izaki, Toshiki Sakamoto, Makoto Seiji, Kazuya Yamamoto (from Japan) and Drs. Hiroyuki Suzuki, Norio Inoue and Kimie Fukuyama (from UCSF).





Because of the distinguished guests, PSRC hosted special events in addition to the annual Syntex hospitality, including:

The evening at Sausalito 


 

Drs. Bill and John Epstein, and Mrs. Alice Epstein joined for the evening.
 
 
 

A one day tour to the winery in Napa county was organized. 


 
 

Dr.Bill Epstein drove his camper,
 
 
 
 

and we prepared a picnic lunch.  Dr. Robert Briggerman from North Carolina who was visiting UCSF decided to come along.

     
 
 
 
 

In the afternoon, we went to one of the wineries to check out 
"How to make California Wine."

     

At end of the day we were all good friends.
