In 1978, Pacific Skin Research Club was invited to Japan. The 6th PSRC Meeting was held at the Rising Sun Hotel, Higashi Hachimantai, Iwate Prefecture on September 30-October 2. The organizer was Dr. Masakatsu Izaki, professor and Chairman of Department of Dermatology, Iwate Medical University.

Japanese participants represented 38 institutions and foreign scientists included 9 from the San Francisco Bay Area, 4 from other cities in the U.S. and 1 from U.K.
The papers presented contained much new information and active discussions for each paper was carried out among the participants.

Many of the attendees from the USA arrived at Tokyo one day ealier, and enjoyed sight seeing, shopping and the elegant dinner reception in Tokyo.
There are many good memories to remember including a Japanese style banquet and sight seeing in the country side which were arranged by the organizers.
