Social Events at the 1990 PSRC Meeting

An elegant reception and dinner were held for participants at the Hotel Metropolitan in the evening of March 18.

From left: Drs. H. Roth, D. Baker, D. Woodley, Wm. Henderson, Wm. Epstein, Kao Chao-Hsing, Hsin-Su Yu, A. Giannetti, M.A. Everett and T. Ryan.

The organizers surprised us with a presentation of T-shirts, which we signed for each other as momentos.

Dr. and Mrs. Toshiaki Yasuda joined the ceremony.

Dr. K. Fukuyama thanks our hosts as others watch the proceeding.

On the following day we were invited to an excursion to Kamakura where the first Shogunate Government was established by Mr. Yoritomo Minamoto towards the end of the 12th century.

The giant Buddaha, a bronze image of Amida buddha cast in 1252, watches over all,
while Dr. C. Pincelli, Dr. H. Roth and Mrs. Sheila Tuffanelli are enamored with the beautiful gardens.  Dr. Ervin Epstein also sneaks a peak.

In the evening, the group joyously relaxed at a Japanese style inn.  The atmosphere was truly unforgetable.
